About the Design: NT IGANMU
The stunning architectural masterpiece that is the National Theatre at Iganmu, Lagos (now renamed
the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts) was built in time to host the famous
FESTAC 77.
Half a century later, this towering monument to the creativity of blacks all over the world, still stands
as a forceful reminder that we once had a glorious past which we now work as one to surpass.
